Time for an update. The house has just gone unconditional so that means we have to be out on the 12th of September. Plans are to move in with Danielle and Colin until we leave on the 2nd of November. Our belongings are going to Dave and Kim’s (garage) while we are away.
We are trying to learn Italian but it is a monumental task, Di is much better at it than I am. I know words but putting them in a sentence is very difficult. Anyway with a bit of persistence I’m sure we will both improve.
We have heard back from the Italian Branch Office and while not a lot was said, it was helpful information non the less. Basically they have said that we should consult Jw.org and make our own minds up as to where we can provide the most assistance. I still feel glad that we contacted them as they gave us some much appreciated encouragement. We are still researching where we can be of most assistance and am leaning toward Calabria at this early stage.
Another interesting thing happened last night. Talk about unrighteousness riches. We received a letter in the mail from a non-witness ex work mate of Di’s who said “Find enclosed something to help you in your efforts to make the world a better place and to bring you home again safe and sound.” Di had talked to her about our plans last week she didn’t believe for a minute that she would do that. In it was a cheque for a considerable amount of money. Jehovah is indeed blessing us.
Thanks for the update. I will look up some information about Calabria to get myself ‘in the know’. How amazing that you got given that monetary gift, lovely confirmation. I know you will be good stewards of it.
