Well today is a sea day no port to go to, which is probably good we will be able to explore the ship. The sea is very flat as we make our way to Dubrovnik. As a matter of fact you couldn’t tell that we are moving but for a slight vibration reminding you that somewhere on this vessel there are huge diesel motors.
The accommodation really is first class. As you will see from the video that I took when I can get around to uploading it. The king sized bed is extremely comfortable and the pillows are like laying your head on a cloud. Had a great night sleep last night.
Had our first meal on board last night at the Britannia restaurant, fine dinning at its best. We eat at the same table every night all six of us. Gavin has organised a table right by the window for us. Di had sweet potato and cauliflower, I can’t remember what they were called but they were like little pasties, very yummy, I had them too. For main meal Di had Orange Roughy with burnt butter capers and caramelised onions and I had the pork medallions with mushroom and string beans with dauphine potatoes. Magnificent.
A funny thing happened to Di when she went to the loo, she was walking along and suddenly this booming voice yells out “Di! Is that you!”. Well it turns out it was a woman that she used to work with while she was at Target. It was one of her workmates that had won seven million dollars in Tatslotto.
At the moment the sea is like glass, there is absolutely no wind and not a cloud in the sky. Di is enjoying the pool.
Tonight was the Venetian Ball, Di has been looking forward to this and planning for it for months. It was really good but we left it a bit late as it was after 10:30 by the time we had finished dinner. Sweat heaps behind the masks as well but my mask with the big nose was a big hit, now I don’t want to have any comments saying “what mask?”.

Hi what a great time you guys are having im so happy for you both it really is something very special. The trip of a lifetime ! Ever day brings a new delight carmelespe ially on the pallate. Happy days love Nicki and Brian xx
Sounds comfortable, delicious, luxurious and wonderful!
Huh, I love it that Di’s ex work mate won millions and was on the cruise, and here us witnesses live simply yet can still go cruisin’ and with our besties. I love that you all eat together, if you were on a cruise on your own it’s possible you would be on a table with strangers.
Thanks for the play by play on your food, I’m a foodie too and am sitting here salivating.
Di you looked very swish at the ball, what fun! … didn’t Lee want to wear a mask? 🙂
