While we can

Cruise Day Four – Heraklion (Crete)

Today I had some work to do so had to forgo any tours. Fortunately the boat docked very close to the main street of Heraklion. Took the bus to the taxi stand and it was only 5 euros to take us to the main drag. At least we knew where to go on the way back as it was close enough to walk. I found a cafe that had free wifi overlooking the harbour, a cool breeze and plenty of good table service, the owner was sprooking for customers, he was actually very entertaining.

Heraklion main street.

Di did what she does best, shopping. She came out with a few purchases but was really excited about a pair of leather sandals she found. The sprooker was so good at what he did that the cafe filled up and I had to move to another cafe as they were sucking the bandwidth up and the Internet crawled to a stop. Di met me there and we were photo bombed while taking a selfie, it was Carol her friend from target the Tatslotto winner and her husband, they sat down so that Di and her could catch up and they bought us a bottle of champagne. Jolly nice of them.

We ended up walking back to the boat. Tonight is the roaring forties theme night that Di has been so looking forward to so I’ll let you know how that goes shortly.
